Encyclopedia : F : FA : FAI : Fairground organ
A Fairgound Organ is a pipe organ which is not played with a keyboard, but by mechanical means such as Piano roll or Book music. Historically, these organs have been found travelling with fairs, often powered by a Showman's engine, and more recently they can be found at outdoor events such as fetes or steam rallies.
