Ultra-fast fiber laser is a fiber based ring laser which utilizes passive mode-locking leading to ultra short pulses. A fiber based ring cavity uses a highly doped Er-fiber as gain media.
Commercial applications include: Telecommunication, Information Technology, Multi-Photon-Spectroscopy, Instrumentation, Diagnostics and Imaging in Biology and Medicine.
