Fieke Boekhorst

Josephine Francisca Maria ("Fieke") Boekhorst-Van Griensven (born on December 18, 1957 in Helmond) is a former Dutch field hockey player, who played 116 international matches for The Netherlands, in which she scored 128 goals. The defender made her debut for the Dutch on September 16, 1978 in a match against India.
Boekhorst was famous for her fericious penalty corner, and was considered the female equivalent of Dutch men's specialist by that time, Paul Litjens. A player from Eindhoven's EMHC, she was one of the key players of the team that won the golden medal at the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles, California. Boekhorst played her last international match for Holland on November 10, 1985 against Great Britain.
