The Finnish Film Foundation (Finnish: ), is an independent foundation with the task of supporting and developing Finnish film production, distribution and exhibition. It is supervised by the Department for Cultural Policy in the Ministry of Education.
The foundation is supported by grants from the Finnish national lottery and by the Finnish Broadcasting Company. The Finnish Film Foundation’s headquarters with its auditoriums are located in Katajanokka, Helsinki in an 19th century harbour terminal
The foundation is responsible for the export and international promotion of . It also grants film production support for individul films, with an aim of supporting "high quality" productions.
The Managing Director of the foundation is Jouni Mykkänen. In 2006 Irina Krohn, a member of the Finnish parliament, was chosen as the new director and will most likely start in her new position in July 2006
