Fiorenzuola d'Arda is a city in Italy in the province of Piacenza, region of Emilia-Romagna. Its name derives from Florentia (prosperous). Fiorenzoula's origins are old, from the ealy human settlements in Italy.
HistorY
In the Middle ages was one of the main center. At the times of the Duke of Parma and Duke of Piacenza it was a "middle county" independent from both parties.Main sights
Most important monument in town is the Collegiata of S. Fiorenzo, built in 1300 and remade by the end of 1400. It was build of a preexising church of S. Bonifacio.Other historic landmarks are the church if Beata Vergine di Caravaggio, the Oratorio della Beata Vergine, the Verdi Theater and the church of St Francis.
