Fischer Air

Fischer Air was an airline based in Prague, Czech Republic. It operated charter services for tour operator Fischer to over 30 destinations in Europe and Africa, as well as charter flights for other clients. Its main base was RuzynÄ› International Airport, Prague. In 2005 it was rebranded as Charter Air.

History
The airline was established on 26 July 1996 and started operations on 30 April 1997. It was founded by Vaclav Fischer, the owner of the Czech tour company, Fischer. It was owned by the K&K Capital Group (75%) and Vaclav Fischer (25%). In 2005 it was rebranded as Charter Air to avoid confusion with its new Polish charter subsidiary, Fischer Air Polska. This followed the departure of the airline founder Vaclav Fischer.
Services
Fischer Air flew to many holiday destinations in the Mediterranean and North Africa, including Sharm el-Sheikh. It also operated a scheduled service to Malta.
Fleet
The Fischer Air fleet consisted of 2 Boeing 737-300 (as of October 2005).
