Encyclopedia : F : FO : FOR : Forest Hills, Washington, D.C.
Forest Hills is a quiet residential neighborhood in the Northwest quadrant of Washington, DC. It is the home the Van Ness campus of the University of the District of Columbia and Howard University's Law School. Intelsat is a major employer in the area.
The neighborhood is frequently mislabeled as Van Ness, both because of UDC's Van Ness campus and because it is served by the Van Ness-UDC station on the Washington Metro's Red Line (Washington Metro).
