Former Shu (Chinese: 前蜀, Pinyin: Qiánshú) was one of the Ten Kingdoms formed during the chaotic period between the rules of the Tang dynasty and the Song dynasty.
Former Shu was founded by Wang Jian with its capital at Chengdu.
In 925, Former Shu was conquered by the Later Tang Dynasty, led by Li Cunxu. Later, the territory of Former Shu came under the control of Mèng Zīxiǎng (孟知祥), who founded the Later Shu.
