The Fort Myers Miracle are a minor league baseball team based in Fort Myers, Florida.
The team, which plays in the Florida State League, is the High-A affiliate of the Minnesota Twins major-league club. Home games are played at Hammond Stadium, which has a capacity of 7,500. It opened in 1991. The park is also used as the Minnesota Twins spring training facility.
Musician Jimmy Buffett and actor Bill Murray used to own the team.
History
The Miami Marlins were a professional Minor Leaue Baseball team, operating in the Class AAA International League from 1956-1960 and in the Class A Florida State League from 1962-1970 and again from 1982-1988. They were known as the Miami Orioles from 1971-1981 and are now known as the Fort Myers Miracle.
