The town celebrates the "Fouke Monster" with a sculpture and other depictions, and a documentary-style drama about the creature, The Legend of Boggy Creek, was released in 1972. The area may attempt to capitalize on this matter as Roswell, New Mexico has done with its famous UFO Incident once an interstate highway is completed near Fouke.

Law enforcement doesn't recommend people going after the creature. The latest encounters are mentioned on the external links.
