Foul Balled is an episode of Nickelodeon's animated series, The Fairly Oddparents, created by Butch Hartman. It originally aired in April 2002.
Synopsis
Timmy's team keeps using his friend, Chester, as a scapegoat for their losses, because of his terrible ability to play. Feeling sorry for him, Timmy wishes that Chester was the greatest player ever. As a result, Chester becomes famous, and very cocky about his abilities. Meanwhile, nobody on the "Losers" team plays anymore, and Timmy is used as a pack mule.Trivia
- Chester is given a great deal of character in this episode. For one thing, McBadbat is used as his last name, and his father (who is introduced here) is named Bucky. The "McBadbat" name refers to a family of pathetic baseball players, which explains why Chester lives in a trailer park with a low income for his family.
- The "New York Bankees" are an obvious parody of the New York Yankees, and the pay they receive.
- When Chester reverts back to being a lousy player, his clothes get knocked off after he pitches in a fashion not unlike that of Charlie Brown from Peanuts.
