Fractal Extreme

Fractal Extreme is a shareware fractal exploration programme, produced by Cygnus Solutions. It can explore the Mandelbrot or Julia sets. It also does the Auto quadratic fractal, the Newton fractal, the Nova fractal and a few lesser-known ones. It supports deep zooming for most fractal types, so a user can zoom in to over 2000 digits of accuracy.
The software has the ability to create movies (known as "zoom movies") of the fractal exploration. A number of generated zoom movies are available on the website.
The software also has a function which allows automated exploration of potentially interesting sections of a fractal.
The current version is 1.902, with no change since the end of 2003.
