Francesco Canova da Milano (18 August 1497 – 2 January 1543) was an Italian lutenist virtuoso and composer of the Renaissance. Born in Monza, near Milan, he was rather popular during his lifetime, writing several books of music for lute. Some of his works are still famous today and are frequently performed.
