Frank Gaffney

Frank J. Gaffney Jr. is the president of the Center for Security Policy and a columnist for The Washington Times. His latest book is War Footing (Naval Institute Press, 2005).

He is a former Reagan administration Assistant Secretary of Defense and is head of the Center for Security Policy, a conservative national security and defense policy organization. Under Mr. Gaffney's leadership, the Center has been nationally and internationally recognized as a resource for timely, informed and penetrating analyses of foreign and defense policy matters. He is a 1975 graduate of the Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service of Georgetown University and holds a graduate degree from the Johns Hopkins University Nitze School of Advanced International Studies.

He says that:

"the international situation bequeathed by Bill Clinton to George Bush was considerably more threatening than was widely perceived at the time." [link]
He appeared on FahrenHYPE 9/11, the conservative documentary that acts as a rebuttal to Michael Moore's Fahrenheit 9/11.

He is a signatory--along with several major figures in the George W. Bush administration--of the June 3, 1997 "Statement of Principles"[link] from the Project for the New American Century, "a non-profit, educational organization whose goal is to promote American global leadership."[link]
