Freakshow is a fictional character, and a villain from TV show, Danny Phantom.
Appearances
Freakshow first appeared in the episode Control Freaks where he opens a circus called the Circus Gothica in Amity Park. The performers in the circus are actually ghosts that are on a crime spree under Freakshow's command. Freakshow comes from a long line of ghost-obsessives - his family has the largest knowledge of ghostly artifacts that we know of. Freakshow's main weapon is a staff that can control ghosts with a single word. Even a picture of the staff makes a ghost weak, and willing to do the bearer's bidding. Danny accidentally catches sight of the staff when he sees an ad for the Circus Gothica, and does exactly what the commercial says - Danny goes to "Release his dark side at Circus Gothica." In the next morning, Freakshow starts the circus for the audience. Danny ends up under Freakshow's control, and becomes a performer in the circus. After Sam discovered that Freakshow controls Danny with his staff, she decided to stop Freakshow's plan. Just then, Freakshow was challenged by the angry mob, who agrees that he is poisoning the minds of children. He decided to have the crowd a free performance that his show is harmless entertaining. But the show is a bluff to cover Freakshow's getaway - the parents and concerned adults who went to the show find themselves trapped. Meanwhile, Freakshow escapes in his circus train, with Sam and Tucker in pursuit. In a showdown on the train's roof, Freakshow sends out his minions to get rid of the two. Tucker was able to knock Freakshow's staff off his hand, and Danny gets a hold off his staff. However, he is still somewhat controlled by Freakshow, and needs to decide if he is supposed to save his friends or give Freakshow his staff back. Danny was able to fight off Freakshow's control to save Sam, and drops the staff in the process. When the staff breaks, the ghosts are released from Freakshow's control, Freakshow is trapped, and the police arrests him.Later, in Reality Trip, Freakshow has returned. In the movie, he has escaped from the Guys in White with Lydia (one of his ghostly circus crew whom was captured by the Guys in White) after he tricked the Guys in White into giving him the Reality Gauntlet. Freakshow uses the Reality Gauntlet to help him trap Danny at Casper High's "School's Out!" Dumpty Humpty concert. Freakshow uses the Gauntlet to trap the audience, and confronts Danny. In the air, Danny, Sam, and Tucker were able to use the Gauntlet's defense mechanism to transport all the three gems from the gauntlet, making it useless. Freakshow was able to escape with help from Lydia, but not before revealing Danny's secret identity to the entire school and Amity Park media. Nursing his wounds, Freakshow comes with a plan to get all the three gems back by kidnapping the parents of Danny, Sam, and Tucker. Freakshow forces Danny, Sam, and Tucker to retrieve the three gems from where they were transported. To make sure they do it, Freakshow kidnaps their parents, and Danny and co. have three days to retrieve the gems if they want to ever see their parents alive again. Also, the Guys in White are looking to arrest Danny throughout this entire time. After retrieving the gems, Freakshow double-crosses Danny, and retakes the Reality Gauntlet, giving himself control over all reality. In a fatal attempt at showmanship, Freakshow gives Danny the chance to save the lives his (and his friend's) parents from a roller coaster filled with death traps. In an attempt to defeat Freakshow, Danny tricks him into becoming a ghost to become more powerful. After Freakshow became full-ghost, Danny sucks him in the Fenton Thermos. Danny then uses the Reality Gauntlet to undo Freakshow's madness, and to rewrite reality so that the secret identity of Danny Phantom is never revealed. After which, Freakshow is arrested once again, and Danny destroys the Reality Gauntlet and the gems.
Freakshow's Inventions
Freakshow doesn't have any powers. He uses his circus as a distraction so that his minions can rob banks and jewerly stores. According to his family, Freakshow uses the crystal ball staff to control ghosts. Later, in Reality Trip, Freakshow uses a Reality Gauntlet to turn Danny's world into a circus nightmare. Also, Freakshow has a distinct envy of ghosts. The Reality Gauntlet controlled reality with the help of "Reality Gems," which were the Gem of Life (ruby), Gem of Form (topaz), Gem of Fantasy (sapphire), and the last gem is the key and power source of the Gauntlet - which happened to be one of Freakshow's earrings.Trivia

- Freakshow's real name, as written on his book, is Frederich Isak Showenhower
- Freakshow's relationship with Lydia seems to go beyond that of Master/Servant. As hinted in "Control Freaks," she willingly follows Freakshow's commands without being controlled by his staff (she was not on the top of the train when the staff broke and never proclaimed her freedom).
- Freakshow apparently has anemia.
- Freakshow's appearance is based on The Joker from Batman.
- Freakshow is the second villain who attempted to kill Danny's loved ones, the first was Dark Danny in The Ultimate Enemy.

- Freakshow: (about the gems) Each of these gems have a power. The red one, the Gem of Life. It can make anything come alive and I believe this one is the Gem of Form. It can transform anything into anything else. So I've been told. And this is the Gem of Fantasy. It can make your dreams real. These gems if touched in a proper sequence will allow the wearer to control all reality, but the gauntlet is useless without its power source (about his earring) which I just happen to have it right here.
Guy in White #2: Freeze it, freak!
(Freakshow has put the last gem into the gauntlet.)
Freakshow: Have a little taste of the Gem of Life (zaps a ray to the guns, making it come to life and wraps the Guys in White) - Freakshow: (to Danny, Sam, and Tucker) Well, well. Look what the bats dragged in with my Reality Gems.
Danny: I don't think so!(Just then, Lydia's tattoos gives the thermos to Freakshow. Freakshow grabs the thermos, and Lydia's tattoos pulls Danny with Sam and Tucker)
Freakshow: The Gem of Life, the Gem of Form, the Gem of Fantasy and puts up with the power source. Thanks to you, I now know how to activate the gauntlet. (laughs hysterically)
Sam: Danny, stop him!
Danny: (struggling) I can't break free!
(All the gems were all activated)
Freakshow: Thanks to you, I am now ringmaster of all reality! - (to Sam and Tucker) Had a nice few months while I was rotting in jail because of you?!
- Freakshow: Au contraire. That's French for "I bet this hurts!"
- (to Danny) Oh, the deal was: Bring me the gems if you want to see them alive again. Well, here they are alive!
- (to Danny) Why, look. I got something you want, while you have to know the location something I want. My gems, which you three fools will retrive it if you ever want to see your families alive again. And, just to keep it dramatic, you have 3 days.
- (after seeing a book) It looks like we have a same taste in authors, (Sam kicks the book and grab the gauntlet) and in gloves! Let go, girl!
