Frederick Christian, Elector of Saxony

Frederick Christian (September 5, 1722 – December 17, 1763) was a member of the house of Wettin. His father was Frederick Augustus, Elector of Saxony and King of Poland.
In 1747, he married Maria Antonia Princess of Bavaria (1724-1780). She was a daughter of Charles VII, Holy Roman Emperor and Marie Amalie, Archduchess of Austria. Seven children were born from this marriage:
- Frederick Augustus I (1750-1827), elector of Saxony and Duke of Warsaw
- Karl (1752-1781).
- Joseph (1754-1763).
- Anton Clemens (1755-1836).
- Maria Amalia (1757-1831). Married Karl III Duke von Zweibrücken.
- Maximilian (1759-1838)
- Maria (1761-1820).
