The friarbirds are four species of honeyeaters in the genus Philemon:

• Helmeted Friarbird, Philemon buceroides
• Silver-crowned Friarbird, Philemon argenticeps
• Noisy Friarbird, Philemon corniculatus
• Little Friarbird, Philemon citreogularis

They are found in eastern Australia and southern New Guinea. They eat nectar, insects and other invertebrates, flowers, fruit and seeds.
