Frontenac County, Ontario is a special-purpose management unit and a census division of the Canadian province of Ontario. The population in 2001 was 138,606. The board's headquarters is in Kingston. While a traditional Ontario county prior to 1998, it was abolished as part of municipal restructuring and amalgamations, and replaced by a management unit with extremely limited powers. For example, the current Frontenac County does not have a county road system, nor does it manage social services beyond a limited scope as outlined by the province. While new development does require board approval, the board does not have the ability to outline new development themselves.

- Township of Frontenac Islands
- Township of North Frontenac
- Township of South Frontenac
Frontenac County, as defined by Statistics Canada, is a Census Division of the Canadian Province of Ontario. Frontenac County Census Division is comprised of the County of Frontenac and the City of Kingston. The County of Frontenac is an upper tier municipality as defined by the Province of Ontario. The administrative offices for the County are located in Glenburnie, Ontario and County administration is responsible for Fairmount Home, a long-term care facility located in Glenburnie, Frontenac Paramedic Services, and the Howe Island Ferry. County Council represents four municipalities:
