- This article is about the town in Toyama Prefecture, Japan. Fukuoka is the capital city of Fukuoka Prefecture. There was also a town with this name in Gifu Prefecture, see Fukuoka, Gifu.
In November of 2005, the town will be legally merged with the city of Takaoka.
The town festival is called Tsukurimon and feature carvings and dioramas made from produce.
As of 2003, the town has an estimated population of 13,623 and a density of 231.84 persons per km². The total area is 58.76 km².
