Funny punk

Funny punk is a style of punk rock which was most prevalent on the West Coast of the United States during the 1980s and 1990s. Defined by its lyrical focus on juvenile and toilet humor, bands such as the Descendants and the Circle Jerks became synonymous with the style. Funny punk grew out of hardcore punk, and was the American equivalent of British punk pathetique.
