Fup is the first novel by American novelist Jim Dodge, published by Simon and Schuster in 1983.

Fup is a comic fairy-tale story with several themes of folklore and Americana running through it.

Plot (No Spoilers)

Grandaddy Jake Santee is a 99 year-old confirmed bachelor whose life is disturbed by the arrival of his hulking grandson, named 'Tiny'. Their lives are changed forever by the arrival of an adult mallard named Fup.
