Furling

Furling (Stargate) are the members of a fictional race of aliens from the series Stargate SG-1.
Furling is a sailing term, referring to gathering a sail to its spar, making it inoperative.
*Furling a flag, like a sail, involves gathering the flag to its staff, frequently by winding it around the staff.
furling (aerodynamics) is also a general aerodynamic term, referring to manipulating an airfoil so that it does not catch the wind.
The Furlings are a group of animal characters created by Welsh author Rae Lambert. They make their most notable appearance in 1993's Once Upon a Forest.
