Encyclopedia : F : FY : FYR : Fyra Bugg & en Coca Cola
Fyra Bugg & en Coca Cola, also called Fyra Bugg, is a Swedish language song, which gave much attention, written by Mikael Wendt and Christer Lundh. The Swedish singer Lotta Engberg won Melodifestivalen 1987 in Sweden with this song. The song text is about summer. Because SVT were forbidden to have TV commercials the song was renamed to Boogaloo in the Eurovision Song Contest 1987. On April 13 1987 Lotta Engberg released the album Fyra Bugg & en Coca Cola, with this song as the first track. On April 19 1987 the song entered the first place on the Swedish hitlist Svensktoppen. Even if Lotta Engberg had many hits throughout the years, Fyra Bugg & en Coca Cola has became considered her signature song.
