Günter Faltin

Günter Faltin (born 25 November, 1944) is a German economist and entrepreneur.

Born in Bamberg, Franconia, he graduated with a Dr. phil. from the University of Konstanz. His thesis investigates Milton Friedman‘s theory of consumer's behaviour. Since 1977 Professor of Economics at the Free University of Berlin. Visiting Professor a. o. in Thailand, Burma and at Babson College. Faltin is considered one of the leading entrepreneurship theorists and one of its pioneers in Germany. An entrepreneur himself, he founded companies like Teekampagne (1985), now the No. 1 mail order tea house in Germany and the biggest importer of Darjeeling leaf tea. In 2001 he established the Stiftung Entrepreneurship (Entrepreneurship Foundation), who’s aim is to enforce a new culture of entrepreneurship. Faltin's concept of Entrepreneurial Design inspired many successful founders of the new and newest economy.
