GAEA Japan is a Japenese Professional Wrestling Promotion for women. (Japenese Female Professional Wrestling is also known as Jyoshi Pro, a style first recognised in 1948. Since then it has gained more recognition both in Japan and internationally.)

GAEA was founded in 1995 by Chigusa Nagayo, a professional wrestler. She helped to train a lot of the younger wrestlers that were featured in GAEA.

GAEA's name comes from the Greek Mythological Goddess of the Earth.

On April 10th 2005 GAEA closed its doors for good, with a farewell show at the Tokyo Korakuen Hall.

History

GAEA held its first show on April 15th, 1995. It was at the Tokyo Korakuen Hall. The show was titled 'Memorial First Gong'. The event recieved good press.

On July 29th, 1995 GAEA began a relationship with Japenese Hardcore promotion FMW, (Frontier Martial Arts Wrestling).
