GE Money is the new global brand of GE Consumer Finance. From mid 2004, a worldwide rebranding campaign will advertise the GE Money brand in every country where GE Consumer Finance is already established. GE Money is the consumer finance arm of General Electric, with presence in 50 countries globally. Many of GE Money's U.S. clients include Wal-Mart, JCPenney, Gap, Inc., Meijer, Dillards, Belk, to name a few. They are the one of the largest issuers of private label (store) credit cards in the U.S. There are also several GE Money products in the marketplace, including GE Money Savings Account David Nissen is the President and CEO of GE Money.
Australia
In Australia the GE Money brand encompases the GE Consumer Finance and GE Capital Finance businesses. The company provides car, boat, personal and consolidation loans, credit cards, mortgages and insurance.GE Capital Finance controls most credit cards and loans and has a strategic partnership with Coles Myer to operate the Coles Myer Source MasterCard. GE Consumer Finance governs the GE Creditline, GO Mastercard and BuyersEdge cards which all offer interest free terms at participating retailers.
In 2004 GE Capital Finance purchased the Wizard Home Loans business. Due to the success of the Wizard brand, it is the only business that will not be rebranded as "GE Money".
