The GR 10 is a GR footpath that roughly follows the French side of the border between France and Spain through the Pyrenees. The walk is normally done starting from Hendaye on the Atlantic coast and ending in Banyuls Sur Mer on the Mediterranean covering a distance of 866 Km with 48Km of ascent.

The route is within the area shown by the French Institut Geographique National maps numbers 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,10,11 and passes through the French départements of Pays Basque, Bearn, Hautes-Pyrenees, Haute-Garonne, Ariege and Pyrenees-Orientales

The GR 11 is a similar route but on the Spanish side of the border.
