- as referring to the Gallic Empire
- as referring to France
- as a linguistic-cultural term, to the cultural traditions and national characters of the French speaking (francophone) nations and regions, transcending race and ethnicity. Some important Gallic regions include France, Wallonia, Haïti, and Québec.
