Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology (GMIT) formerly Regional Technical College, Galway is an Institute of Technology based in Galway, Ireland with centres throughout County Galway and County Mayo. The institution offers a variety of courses in business, engineering, and science, and has recently expanded into agriculture and nursing.
In 1976 the institution became the first Regional Technical College to receive degree recognition, this was the Bachelor of Arts in Hotel and Catering Management programme which is still obtainable at the institution.
