Garage Inc. is the eighth album by American heavy metal band Metallica, released in 1998. (See 1998 in music). It includes newly recorded cover versions of other bands' and artist's songs and also every cover version the band had recorded up to that point. "Mercyful Fate" is a medley of five Mercyful Fate songs:

• Satan's Fall
• Curse of the Pharaohs
• A Corpse Without Soul
• Into the Coven
• Evil

Although only listed as "Sabbra Cadabra", the track is actually a combination of Sabbra Cadabra and another Black Sabbath track, "A National Acrobat".

"Tuesday's Gone" was recorded in 1997 with several guest artist when Metallica hosted a radio program out of Los Angeles.

Also, a single from the album, "Turn the Page" is a cover song that originated from Bob Seger's album with the Silver Bullet Band called Back in '72.

Trivia

• Featured at the end of their cover of The Misfits' "Last Caress/Green Hell" is a mock parody of metal legends Iron Maiden's classic hit "Run to the Hills." Iron Maiden responded to this on a B-side cover of the Montrose song entitled "Space Station No. 5". Also at the end of their cover of Discharge's "The More I See", in about the same time structure as "Run to the Hills" can be heard, is a cover of Robin Trower's song, "Bridge of Sighs".
