Garie Beach
Encyclopedia : G : GA : GAR : Garie Beach
Garie Beach is a beach located in the Royal National Park, on the outskirts of southern Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia.
History
There are two theories of the origins of the name. Garie is an Aboriginal word meaning 'sleepy'. The name could be a deviation of the name of a bushranger called Geaty, who camped here.
