Gateway Football Conference

The Gateway Football Conference is a college athletic conference which operates in the midwestern United States. It participates in the NCAA's Division I-AA as a football-only conference.

The league was formed from the remnants of the old Missouri Valley football conference in 1985.

Charter members included Eastern Illinois, Illinois State, Indiana State, Missouri State (as Southwest Missouri State), Northern Iowa, Southern Illinois, and Western Illinois.

Former member: Eastern Illinois (1985-1995).
