Appearances
Digimon Adventure
Initially, Gatomon was a malicious Digimon but was actually one of the DigiDestined Digimon who got separated from the other seven main Digimon as a Digi-Egg. The egg hatched and she traveled alone, looking for something missing in her life. It was while she was Salamon that Myotismon found her and took her under his wing. With brutal conditioning, he had beaten almost all defiance out of her (resulting in painful scars on her paws that her gloves cover), except her glare, which annoyed him. She naturally grew into Gatomon and became one of Myotismon's lieutenants. She then accompanied Myotismon and his army in the assault on the Real World in the search of the Eighth Child, the predestined eighth member of the DigiDestined. But it was thanks to Wizardmon that Gatomon found that someone she had forgotten, her partner (Kari). When Myotismon found this out, he captured Gatomon to use her to identify the Eighth Child. But Kari willingly gave herself up to stop the bloodshed despite the others protests. During the final battle with Myotismon, Wizardmon sacrificed himself to save Kari. Gatomon was devisated, as she had often been cold to Wizardmon, and she said she was sorry for getting involved. However, Wizardmon told her not to be sorry, as he had no regrets, she was all that mattered to him, and his life would have had no meaning had he not met her. With those words, Wizardmon died, evoking Gatomon's Digivolution to Angewomon, who went on to destroy Myotismon. After the following battle with VenomMyotismon, Gatomon then accompanied the DigiDestined. During the on-going battles with the Dark Masters, Gatomon, as Angewomon, had a (to quote many of the fans exact words) 'cat fight' with LadyDevimon, Piedmon's bodyguard.
Second Season (Digimon Zero Two)
Three years later, when the Digimon Emperor was conquering the Digital World, Gatomon was reunited with Kari but she had lost her Power Ring while escaping a Unimon under the control of the Dark Ring. Without its holy power, her strength level was greatly reduced, to roughly that of a Rookie. But without the Power Ring, she was able to Armor Digivolve with the Digi-Egg of Light to become Nefertimon or DNA Digivolve with Aquilamon to form Silphymon. Exactly three years after the fall of Myotismon, Wizardmon's ghost returned to warn Gatomon and the DigiDestined. Before he left again, Wizardmon and Gatomon reach out their arms, and, as he's a ghost, Wizardmon's hand goes right through her claw, he aplogised and moved away, through a window, Gatomon ran after him up to the window. Many tears fell after he left and Gatomon believes that Wizardmon stil watches over her.Michi E No Shinka Armor
On Valentine's Day 2003, Gatomon used the Digi-Egg of Knowledge to Armor Digivolve to Butterflymon.Digimon Frontier
Multiple Gatomon were seen at the Autumn Leaf Fair during both visits. One was accompanying a Wizardmon on the first visit.Variations
