Geethanjali (1989) is a Telugu film directed by Mani Ratnam, The film's score and soundtrack are composed by Ilayaraaja. Upon release, the film met with critical acclaim. It was also released in the Malayalam and Tamil languages. The title of the Tamil version of the film is Idhayathai Thirudathey.
Plot
Depressed over the discovery of something life-changing, a young man decides to move away from his family. He travels to a hill station, where he becomes acquainted with girl who seems to be completely the opposite of himself in every way. They start playing pranks on each other to wind each other up, but eventually form a friendship over time. They soon discover shocking truths about each other that will alter their lives and relationship.Awards
