General Sturnn
Encyclopedia : G : GE : GEN : General Sturnn
General Sturnn is a character from the fictional Warhammer 40,000 universe. He appears only in the Winter Assault expansion pack for the computer game , and not in the form of a miniature.
Background
Not much is known of this grizzled commanding officer of the Imperial Guard. He commands the 412th Cadian Infantry regiment and is assigned to locate an Imperial superweapon, the Titan Dominatus, on the planet Lorn V. However, also present on the planet is a massive Ork Waaagh!, the forces of Chaos and the Eldar. The first two of these hinder Sturnn's attempts to find the titan, while the Eldar secretly assist him.
Character
Sturnn is a born leader as well as a formidable fighter himself. He values the lives of his men above anything else, even though he orders his commissars to ensure there is no retreat and absolute loyalty to his command. He believes that the duty of the guard is to die standing and fighting.
He is admired by his fellow officers for his incredible bravery and that he fights beside his troops.
Sturnn, unlike other Imperium Commanders, is also slightly tolerant of other species, mostly Eldar. But he will not hesitate to strike at them, believing that they would turn on him at first chance.
Gameplay
Sturnn is a Leader unit in the Imperium faction of Winter Assault. He is part of the Command Squad, which can add other leaders units such as Commissars, Priests and Psykers, adding to its strength. Sturnn himself is armed with a storm bolter and a pair of lightning claws. Additionally, he can call in strafing runs in which Imperial Navy aircraft bombard a selected area with bombs and missiles.
