Genthin

Genthin is a town in the Jerichower Land district, in Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. It is situated on the Elbe-Havel Canal, approx. 50 km northeast of Magdeburg, and 27 km west of Brandenburg.
Genthin is also the seat of the Verwaltungsgemeinschaft ("collective municipality") Genthin, which consists of the following municipalities (population in 2005 between brackets):

- Gladau (716)
- Paplitz (362)
- Tucheim (1.413)
