Genworth Financial is a financial services organization that offers of a portfolio of primarily consumer focused products, including life insurance, retirement income and investments, long term care, employer benefits, mortgage insurance and payment protection insurance. Genworth Financial is headquartered in Richmond, Virginia, and employs over 7,000 people in 22 different countries.
Genworth was formerly General Electric Financial Assurance. However, it underwent a record breaking spin-off in May 2004 from its parent company General Electric.
