George Grizzard

George Grizzard (b. April 1, 1928, in Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina) is a film and Broadway actor. Grizzard has appeared in over 40 films and dozens of television programs. He appeared in Advise and Consent in 1962, as well as guest starring several times on the NBC television drama Law & Order.
Grizzard played John Adams in the highly acclaimed WNET/13 (PBS New York City) produced mini-series The Adams Chronicles (1976).
Grizzard won a Tony Award for Best Actor in 1996 for his work in A Delicate Balance, by Edward Albee. He has been one of Albee's favorite interpreters of his work.[[Citing sources citation needed]]
