George Hamilton is a video game character appearing in the Resident Evil series. George is one of the main characters in Resident Evil Outbreak and Resident Evil Outbreak File #2.
Background
One of Raccoon City's finest surgeons, George works at Raccoon General Hospital. Although he is not a person who likes to take the lead under pressure, he has a cooperative, open-minded spirit and the ability to naturally acquire the trust of others. He also has a keen interest in the collection of rare and unique watches and a reputation for being a sharp dresser.Although George lives in relative luxury due to his highly demanding occupation, he has a naturally active lifestyle, and feels much more relaxed when camping or rowing. He has a tendency to romanticize his profession.
George was, until recently, married for many years. As the game begins, George is attempting to cope with the breakup of his family and the stress of the long and difficult hours he works at the hospital. What becomes of George's family during the outbreak is unknown, although it is possible his ex-wife had moved to a neighbouring town after the divorce.
Items
Personal Item
Medical Set: George is well versed in the usage of medical tools, putting his personal kit to good use by combining it with the famous coloured herbs from the nearby Arklay region, which have played a major role in revolutionizing the healthcare industry since their discovery. By combining a Green, Blue or Red Herb or any one of several mixtures of the three with his medicinal set, George can prepare a broad range of curative capsules to cure and relieve injuries and afflictions. This allows George to assist a fellow survivor with what is currently available to the group with far greater ease. An example would be a fellow survivor having been deeply lacerated by a Hunter, bleeding profusely and unable to escape the creature quickly. "Hemostat" medicine would be necessary to stem the bloodflow, but is exceptionally difficult to obtain during gameplay. If either George or another member of the group has a "Red Herb" available, it can be converted into a "Hemostat" capsule and given to the injured teammate. If George is in possession of his "Capsule Shooter", said capsule can be delivered with even greater efficiency (details below).Extra Item
Capsule Shooter: George is in possession of a unique (and probably the most effective) extra item available to the survivors. The "Capsule Shooter" is an item capable of delivering medical assistance by means of projectile-firing a capsule towards a fellow survivor. This weapon not only saves time by allowing stronger survivors, such as Kevin Ryman and Mark Wilkins, to concentrate on engaging the enemy whilst George provides medical attention quickly and readily, but also doubles as a powerful weapon. Specific types of capsule can deal damage to enemy targets, examples being the "Antidote" capsule destroying several types of poisonous opponent, and the "Anti-Virus" capsule dealing massive damage to almost every enemy that would dare to cross George's path when equipped with the "Capsule Shooter" item.Consult the Arklay Mountains article for further information regarding capsules and the various available medicinal herbs.
Special Actions
Dodge Tackle
George is able to execute an evasive counterattack technique called the "Dodge Tackle". When timed correctly, George can evade and enemy attack, lunging forward at the appropriate second to send his opponent reeling backwards. Far superior to George's regular lunge, and more reliable and predictable than Kevin Ryman's "Police Kick" or "Elbow Tackle", the Dodge Tackle can be used effectively by advanced players attempting a "No Weapons Clear" playthrough. Although somewhat difficult to pull off, if George readies his attack for a long moment in advance, his counterattack will almost always send your average zombie tumbling to the ground for an easy stomp/melee kill.Costumes

Fate
Like his fellow survivors, George has multiple variations of his attempted escape from Raccoon City. In previous releases, it has generally been the standard for Capcom to use a character's "best" ending as his/her "canonical" event. Unless the player is actually in control of George as a character, he will be mortally wounded by an unknown creature during the Decisions, Decisions scenario whilst searching Raccoon University's boathouse. However, this event does not serve to significantly drive the scenario's plot and can probably be safely assumed as non-canonical, he most likely escaped Raccoon City alive. George's various endings are listed below, each depending on the player's actions during the final scenario of each game.Resident Evil: Oubreak
Best ending: George procures several samples of the Daylight serum, created by his late friend, Peter Jenkins. The T-Virus is purged from his body and he boards the Raccoon Fire Department's rescue helicopter alongside R.F.D. firefighters, Danny and Gill. As Raccoon City fades away in the background, George recalls the sight of his murdered friend slumped over his desk in a pool of blood. Clutching a vial of the Daylight serum in his hand, George proclaims "I'm not a savior. It's just my duty." This indicates that, as a doctor sworn to protect life, it is George's job to ensure that the events which transpired in Raccoon City are never allowed to occur again.
Good ending: Although George does manage to cure himself of the T-Virus using the Daylight serum, he is unable to procure a second sample for mass-production. Boarding the rescue helicopter, Raccoon City is bombed to dust as they fly to safety. George realizes that mankind's greatest chance of stopping the spread of infection has been lost alongside the city and its people, a sad fact that is not lost on the morose physician.
Bad ending: Only one vial of the Daylight serum was successfully acquired. As a result, George knows that he must not use it himself, but instead hand it over to Danny and Gill so that it can be mass-produced to halt the spread of the T-Virus across the country. Knowing what must be done, George remains behind alongside Cindy, who is also infected. As the missiles streak across the sky and fear of the unknown begins to take hold, George comforts Cindy and the pair stand and watch the sun as it rises in the distance.
Worst ending: Although unable to procure a sample of Daylight, George successfully defeats Thanatos before boarding the rescue helicopter with Danny and Gill. As the trio fly towards safety, Raccoon City is completely destroyed behind them. As Danny and Gill comment on their good fortune, George collapses in his seat. Opening his lifeless eyes, George moans and leans forward, finding the unprotected throat of an unsuspecting firefighter.
Resident Evil Outbreak File #2
Bad endings - (Run like the Wind, Up and Away: George escapes the city via truck or helicopter without saving Linda, the virologist who might hold the key to curing the T-Virus. George watches the city burn while musing that mankind must always learn from its mistakes. Unfortunately, without Linda, the outbreak that began in Raccoon City is already beginning to spread.
Good Endings - (Run like the Linda, Up and Away (w/Linda): With Linda safe, the outbreak of the T-Virus will eventually be stopped. George embarks upon a busy career of travel and research.
