"Get Up And Jump" is a song by Red Hot Chili Peppers from their 1984 debut album, the eponymous Red Hot Chili Peppers. It is the fourth song on the album, and was the second single released. Its title is very fitting as the song is extremely lively and fast-paced, and is often considered one of the better songs on the album, due to its pace and liveliness#redirect [[Template:Fact]]. This, and "Out in L.A." were the first two songs the Chili Peppers wrote. They were played before the Peppers got a record deal and they were just an opening act known as Tony Flow and the Miraculously Majestic Masters of Mayhem. Also, the bassline of the song is regarded as some of the most sophisticated work by Flea.
