The Gila Valley, Globe & Northern Railway was a common carrier incorporated on January 24 1894. The railway built from a connection with the Southern Pacific Railroad (AAR reporting mark SP) at Bowie, Arizona (known as Teviston until 1908) and continued northwest for 125.75 miles to its terminus at the mining town of Globe, Arizona. The railroad also had a 10-mile branch that extended from Globe to Miami, Arizona.

- June 30 1899 - 127 miles in use (ICC Report)
- c. 1901 - Became an operating subsidiary of SP
- February 1 1910 - Merged into the Arizona Eastern Railroad, a subsidiary of SP
