GlobalSecurity.org is a comprehensive website that contains background information and technical specifications on a wide range of defense, space and security projects, and publishes developing news covering military, WMD, intelligence, and homeland security issues.

Since its launch in December 2000, GlobalSecurity.org has built a reputation for containing reliable public domain information on military projects, and is often cited as a respectable source by domestic and international news services including Reuters, the Associated Press and the Christian Science Monitor.

The website attracts around 100,000 visitors on weekdays, and generates nearly 15 million page views per month. The site is maintained by prominent political consultant and science writer John_E._Pike, who created some of the content during his association with the Federation of American Scientists.
