Global Technology Associates, Inc. is a privately held US corporation founded in 1992 and located in Orlando, Florida. GTA was an early entrant in the commercial firewall market, having developed and marketed the GFX Internet Firewall in 1994. The GFX Internet Firewall was a unique "dual wall" design that consisted of two independent firewalls (inside and outside) coupled in a fail-safe arrangement. The entire GNAT Box Firewall system was contained on and ran off a single 3.5" floppy disk and had minimal hardware requirements (Intel 80386 CPU, 16Mb RAM).
