• The genus Gloxinia of flowering plants;
• The plant species Sinningia speciosa, formerly classified in the genus Gloxinia.
• Other plants not in the Gesneriaceae sometimes known as "gloxinia", such as the "creeping gloxinia" (Asarina erubescens) and "hardy gloxinia" (Incarvillea delavayi).
