gnuLinEx, or LinEx, is a Linux distribution based on Debian, with GNOME as desktop.
gnuLinEx is an initiative of the regional government of Extremadura, Spain. It is intended to be used in all schools in Extremadura, as well as in official institutions. It is actively promoted for business and home use as well.
LinEx works only on i386 (onwards) computers.

- Easy, automatic hardware recognition and hard disk installation (Microsoft Windows partition detection is included, but is unable to resize it)
- OpenOffice.org as the default office suite.
- Mozilla and X-Chat as the internet suite.
