Go Bang!
Encyclopedia : G : GO : GOB : Go Bang!
Go Bang!, the fifth full-length Shriekback album, saw the band losing its way. Released in 1988 after the departure of founding member and iconic bassist, Dave Allen, the album revolves around Barry Andrews, and often falls flat. The album's odd single, a cover of KC and the Sunshine Band's "Get Down Tonight", failed to ignite the charts, and the band fell apart shortly after. Andrews would return to a more traditional Shriekback sound with 1992's Sacred City.
