Gobindgarh is a city and a municipal council in Fatehgarh Sahib district in the Indian state of Punjab.

Demographics

As of 2001 India census^{[Geographic references#IndiaGRIndia]}, Gobindgarh had a population of 55,416. Males constitute 56% of the population and females 44%. Gobindgarh has an average literacy rate of 69%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 72%, and female literacy is 67%. In Gobindgarh, 12% of the population is under 6 years of age.
