Gonçalo Pereira is a portuguese guitar virtuoso. He has recorded 3 albums, "Tricôt no País das Maravilhas" (1998), "Upgrade" (1999) and his latest "GoncaloPereira@g_spot" (2005). After this last album, he also made his first DVD titled "Another Day In Another World".

His technique consists in fast picking syncronized with a fast left hand using all fingers to create fast movements along the fretboard with a constant attention to the importance of melody. His leggato technique is impressive as well as his left hand amplitude and his "signature" movement consist on positioning his right hand over the fretborad while his left hand operates the volume control on the guitar. By punchig the notes with the right hand and controling the volume (using a little delay) he creates a surrounding effect most exotic (this hand-positioning can be seen on the back of his DVD "Another Day In Another World").

Gonçalo was a former member of Paulo Gonzo's band and he was at charge of the masterization, as well as great part of the musical arrangement, on many Gonzo's albums.
