Gothic may mean:

From a Renaissance perspective (originally Italian, gotico, with connotations of "rough, barbarous"), it conveyed the opposite of 'classical' or 'Roman', hence:- High Medieval northern European art, especially architecture:

- *International Gothic, a subset of Gothic art developed in Burgundy, Bohemia and northern Italy in the late 1300s and early 1400s

- Gothic script: another name for Blackletter, a script developed in the Middle Ages
