Governator (song)
Encyclopedia : G : GO : GOV : Governator (song)
"Governator" is a B-Side on the "American Idiot Pt. 2" single by Green Day. It is centered on the election of Arnold Schwarzenegger and the disillusionment surrounding it. The name of this song contains an almost explicit reference to one of Schwarzenegger's most famous movies, "Terminator", and confronts that name with "Governor". The track is not connected to the American Idiot album like many believe. This song was sung by bassist Mike Dirnt and was recorded in 2003 at Studio 880 in Oakland, California.
